I remember Bernice very well. She lived on Linden Avenue a few blocks up from me toward Freeman Street, We were in classes together since kindergarten. Steve, another classmate who became a Woodbridge police detective was i think her cousin.
Bernice was beautiful, sweet, funny, and kind. I am sorry that i did not get to see her over the years.
