Paul introduced me to my lifelong love of sports cars. I can vividly remember driving in his white Triumph TR3A up to the races in Lime Rock, Conn. and the drives to WHS. I still have one today! Recently I dug into the archives and found an audio tape that he sent me while I was in Viet Nam. It gave me a chill.
Back in '63 the two of us were trying to attract the attentions of the same pretty girl. Cupid smiled on me, but I realized that I was almost broke. Paul generously loaned me some money for the date. But he got the last laugh when I showed up at her door that Saturday only to be stood up!
